Legare Circular Sock Machines

P.T. Legare

One of the most significant tradesmen and manufacturers in French Canada, Pierre-Theophilus Légaré (1851-1926) and his company specialized in the cars and the equipment of the farm. It was also distributor for the articles of house. P.T. Légaré Limited.
Published catalogs of the company are very rare.

Legare 400	Legare 400
One type of Legare yarn mast- threaded for heel and toe.	Same type of yarn mast, but threaded for normal knitting.

Type 3, or auto knitter style yarn mast.		Type 3 -threaded for doing heel and toe.

Cylinder tension adjustment. Pointer down, larger stitch. Pointer higher, smaller stitch.	Ribber tension adjustment. Pointer towards the center is larger stitch. Pointer outwards is smaller stitch.
